TOPIC
Family health is a congruence, dynamic process that occurs as a result of balancing stability, growth, control and spirituality in response to a changing family environment. (Friedemann)
Each person in the family plays a specific role that is part of the family’s everyday function; illness of a family member will disrupt the whole family.
Unfortunately the nursing discipline has mostly targeted care and services toward individuals and not wrestled as fervently as needed with the implications of the complex family systems. This neglect has resulted in continual slippage among ideas such as family as a system, family health systems, family nursing practice and family health promotion. Therefore this conference will focus on nurses to lead an extended role as family nurse practitioner in nurturing the roots of family health.
GOAL
To empower the health care professionals on global trends and issues facing families worldwide.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide a sound knowledge on health and family health.
- To create a platform on trends and challenges of family health.
- To expand the knowledge on the various strategies of healthy family.
- To share the current developments and best practices for the promotion of well-being of older persons.
